Steamburg is a bayonet quest puzzle with a unique gameplay and a storyline tied to the search for items. The game developer is the company Telehorse, working on creating games in the steampunk genre. In March 2017, at the International Mobile Game Competition (IMGA) in San Francisco, Steamburg was recognized as the most anticipated game. The protagonist, Professor Vincent Moore, fights with robots that captured the city of Stimburg. The gameplay can be called unique, because Vincent is unarmed and must carefully think through each step. In its arsenal – only small electromobiles, which attract and briefly slow down the robots.
Vincent must travel through the streets in such a way as to trap the robots – a Tesla transformer that is capable of destroying them. Gradually, the game becomes more complicated: Vincent is confronted by several robots at once, while they are becoming more and more fast, and some of them are able to fly and react to every movement of the hero. Particular attention deserves a way to submit a story. In 2016, at the international business conference White Nights in Helsinki Steamburg was awarded the award for the best technique of narration. From the dialogues, the player learns that Vincent is a scientist who was instructed to test a new weapon in Stimburg. In addition, he is busy searching for his bride, who presumably was in the city when he was attacked by robots. Some elements of the plot are directly related to the game process. The player can also collect letters and photos that will tell about the love story of Vincent and his bride.
